Honestly, I didnt know this fact about James so that's really cool that James hunted Bella because she reminded him of Alice, who was a "singer" human he had stalked to try to eat and kill but her delicious blood he never got to taste before she was turned into a vampire and saved from him. Yeah, it's very romantic in a dark vampire way. 😅 Twilight has a lot of interesting story ideas in the background that never got to be developed because it focuses so much on the main story 😂

Since I read about this in the illustrated guide I was sooooo disappointed they didn’t use it in the movies. It’s a really interesting storyline, and Alice being so lovely and warm makes sense as a coping mechanism after James’ abuse (and her family, let’s not forget about her shitty dad) when she was alive.
